Sedapnya Mamee Chef! Slurrppp...
(48 hours - Sponsored post)
What will you eat in the middle of the night when your stomach start to sound?
What will you have when you don’t have time to eat esp when at office ?
What will you buy as a stock at home?
If the answer is instant noodle than you should continue read this entry
Oppss...have you wondered how the instant noodle are made?
Recently, myself and other bloggers (about 60 of us) have an opportunity for a day trip to visit Mamee Chef factory and Mamee Jonker House in Melaka. We started the day at meet up at Mamee Double Decker, Subang Jaya. We reached the Mamee Chef factory around 11am.
Before I started on the trip let me share the recipe of success for Mamee Chef. As we know, Chef Ismail well known for his expertise in Malay Cuisine. He has teamed up with Mamee to create original recipe and flavour that represents Malaysia. The paste for Mamee Chef's Thai Tom Yam and Curry Laksa recipe was co-created with Chef Ismail, are made with fresh ingredients of spices and herb.
Mamee Chef has an even better taste because each packet of it comes with a pre-packed condiment for different flavours such as prawns, tofu (bite-size), shiitake mushrooms and vegetables.
Now sit back and read along this entry as I will share on Mamee Chef factory & products. (perhaps you also can have Mamee Chef while reading this entry. Since this entry have a lot of pics and a video. I just cook Mamee Chef for husband before writing this J)
Mamee Factory, Melaka
When we arrived, we were greeted by Mamee team followed by quick intro, La Mien Sifu performance and curry laksa paste cooking show.
Had some refreshment and Nutrigen Lite Yo (sedap ye air ni…)

Mamee range of products - Mamee, Mamee Instant Noodle, Mamee Chef, Mister Potato and lots more (still counting!)
Not Chef Ismail but La Mien Sifu performance
La Mien in Malay means Mi Tarik
Curry laksa paste cooking show
![]() |
Terbaik!!! Datuk Pang Chin Hin, Chairman Mamee pun ada on that day (in white shirt) pls excuse all the blogger-razi hand
Basically La Mien Sifu performance and curry laksa paste cooking show is the manual way of preparing curry laksa noodle (Duh...I couldn't imagine how to do mi tarik by myself). Thus, to imitate the La Mian technique for better springier noodle texture, Mamee Double-Decker made RM80 Million investment on the machinery. This machine and technology, they are able to make noodle goes through the same pulling and folding process like La Mien noodles.
Factory Visit
It’s a long process compared to express-cooking-3 minute

Mamee Jonker House - No 45 & 48 Jalan Hang Jebat, 75200 Melaka (06-286 7666)
Right after lunch, we departed to Mamee Jonker House (I bet orang Melaka pun tak tahu ada Mamee museum, café and such kat Jonker Street ni kan)
Mamee Jonker House, Melaka opened in Nov 2013 and now among top 10 of Jonker Street attractions.
Inside Mamee Jonker House you'll see Mamee Cafe, Mamee World, Monster Kitchen, Noodle Doodle and Merchandise Store
Unfortunately during our visit, Mamee World (or known as Mamee Museum) temporary closed for some refurbishment. (understand that it will be open in 2-3 months. Perhaps next time I should come to bring my family...)
Monster Kitchen where kids 6 years and above can join the workshop with minimal fee RM10. However the class will be on weekend time with minimum of 6. I understand that kids below 6 years old also can join as long as accompanied by father/mother/guardian (seorang dewasa je ye..bukan seluruh keluarga teman anak yg sorg tu...kang masalah space pulak). The Monster Kitchen workshop sessions available on Saturday and Sunday (11am, 1,30am, 3pm). Prior booking required.

One of the activities we had was Mamee Chef Colour My Cup at Noodle Doodle. I just need to colour the Mamee Chef and then choose 4 condiments, and the next few minute I have my very own Mamee Chef! (It is advisable to eat this very own Mamee Chef within 2 weeks due to hygiene)
Please ignore and excuse my long lost colouring skill
Place PP cup into the slot
Choose 4 types of condiments - There are six - sweet corn, cabbage, green peas, carrot, dried chili, chive

No worries, as you also can have this fun activities together with your friends and families (kids surely will be happy with this colouring activity). If not mistaken you have to pay RM3 per cup (you can colour, doodle, packing and bring home the personalized Mamee Chef!)

Yogurt Cheezy Cup
48-hrs advertorial post. Sponsored post
Have you ever tried to include yogurt into your cooking?
If no, then perhaps you can try it later (especially after reading my simple-easy-peasy recipe ^_^)
With preparation time less than 20 minutes per dish and cost of ingredients less than RM 30 per dish you can enjoy the goodness of yogurt (Of course one of the ingredients is NESTLE Natural Set Yogurt)
Presenting my humble recipe..ermm I am not expert in cooking but my kids love this very much!
Yogurt Cheezy Cup
Ingredients
For yogurt cheesy
250g cream cheese at room temperature
150g NESTLE Natural Set Yogurt
200-250g condensed milk (depends on the sweetness your liking…I just use almost half of the small tin)
For filling and topping
100g chocolate chips
Cookie / Biscuit (any flavor that you like)
Almond flake
Steps
1. For easy chocolate syrup (filing) - Boil chocolate chips and some water. Stir until choc chip completely melted.
2. Chopped almond flake (coarsely and not too fine, as I decided to have some crunchiness)
3. For yogurt cheezy
- Mixed cream cheese, yogurt and condensed milk till soft and fluffy (in my case I use blender, so just put everything and blend it)
- Add some cookie (optional). I didn’t break the cookie, instead put everything inside the blender and blend it
4. Add the chopped almond flake to the yogurt cheezy mixture
5. Now for layering part
- Put some yogurt cheezy
- Followed by chocolate syrup
- Put again yogurt cheezy
- Followed by chocolate syrup
- Yogurt cheezy
(optional: you can put anything for the layering)
6. Drizzle chocolate syrup and keep in the refrigerator for a while or overnights. Best serve chilled.
You can always have different filling and topping - biscuit, chocolate, blueberry/ strawberry filling, fruits etc. Not to mention you can have more layer and use nice long glass / container. For this recipe I got about 5 serving...
Some fun fact of NESTLÉ Natural Set Yogurt
• It is a healthy ingredient that makes your curries richer and tastier.
• Each serving of 100g contains only 57kcal and 1.6g of fat compared to 28.3g of fat in the same amount of santan (coconut milk).
• Above that it offers a refreshing base for dips, a perfect marinate sauce and creates mouth-watering desserts and smoothies as well.

Recipe : Yogurt Cheezy Layer
For Sponsored Post Opportunity: NESTLE Natural Set Yogurt Recipe Challenge, I decided to try a new recipe.
Of course one of the ingredient is NESTLE Natural Set Yogurt
In addition, we cannot duplicate the listed dishes given by Nestle & Nuffnang, preparation time no more 20 minutes per dish and cost of ingridients should be less than RM 30 per dish.
Pretty tough for not an expert like me.
I bought all the ingredients from Tesco (nak g kedai baking ke hape camne..bawak 2 org budak cam payah), and total cost less than RM 30.
So after combining some recipes here I presented
For yogurt cheesy
250g cream cheese at room temperature
200g whipped cream
150g NESTLE Natural Set Yogurt
90g sugar
For filling and topping
100g chocolate chips
Oreo
Almond flake
Steps
1. For easy chocolate syrup (filing) - Boil chocolate chips and some water. Stir until choc chip completely melted.
2. For yogurt cheezy
- Whip cream cheese and sugar til soft and fluffy.
- After that, mix in the yogurt In a separate container whip the whipping cream until thick and stiff
- Mixed the cream mixture into the yogurt cheese mixture
3. Now for layering part
- Put some yogurt cheezy
- Followed by chocolate syrup
- Put again yogurt cheezy
- Oreo time (you can crumb it, simply put the whole oreo..for myself patah sikit terus masuk)
- Yogurt cheezy
4. Drizzle chocolate syrup and almond flake for topping
5. Keep in the refrigerator for a while or overnights. Best serve chilled.
You can always have different filling and topping - marie biscuit, M&M, blueberry filling, fuits etc. Not to mention you can have more layer and use nice long glass / container. For this recipe I got about 5 serving...
My kids enjoy this dessert ( erm actually baru boh peti ais sejam je depa dh nak makan..habis satu setengah bekas gak masa tu) ..They enjoy the creamy cheezy (cream cheese, cream, yogurt), crunchy (oreo, almond) and of course chocolate (choc chip).
Big yay because I can include yogurt inside (my kids only knew chocolate inside..ha ha)
