Thanks to those Facebook share, because
accidentally I read “11 Long Weekends for Malaysians in 2015” (Source here)
I called it as accidentally because I do
not read Facebook update frequently, scroll pun bukan sampai berjam2 he he
I am totally agree that 2015 will be really
good for travelling since tonnes of public holidays will fall on Friday or
Monday. (Tapi ni lebih kepada yg weekend Sabtu-Ahad, some state cam Johor, Kedah
weekend hari Jumaat-Sabtu)
Personally I would say at least 5 long weekends
with 3-4 days off (I minus Hari Raya since Raya consider as balik kampung, not
a real holiday jalan jalan makan angin). Some date subject to further change
Here the list
- 19-20 Feb (Thursday & Friday ) Chinese New Year
- 1 May (Friday) Labour Day
- 1 June (Monday) Wesak Day
- 31 Aug (Monday) National Day
- 25 Dec (Friday) Christmas
Some other date, that might be perfect also
for vacation but you might have to apply leave for 1 day
- 1 Jan (Thursday) New Year - apply 2 Jan then you can have 4 days, but for those companies that give leave in lieu (public holiday jatuh Sabtu akan diganti hari Jumaat then you do not have to apply for 2 Jan sebab 3 Jan Maulidur Rasul
- 3 Feb (Tuesday) Thaipusam - Apply 2 Feb then you can have 4 days, but for those in Wilayah 1 Feb (Sunday) will be Federal Territory, so secara automatic akan diganti ke 2 Feb (Monday)
Hari Raya Puasa towards at the end of
weekend (some mentioned18-19 July, Saturday-Sunday, some mentioned17-18,
Friday-Saturday)
Kat sini je dah ada 8 long weekend,
including Hari Raya Puasa. Plus if I still work in Selangor 11 Dec (Friday)
Sultan Selangor’s Birthday akan menjadikan ada 9 long weekends.
Now the next part, have to put some savings
and of course holiday plans (cuti je yg free, tapi nk berjalan2 kos tempat
tinggal, transportation, makan, souvenir, etc need to put some budget
allocation. Since we already in Aug, we still have about 5 months to save
(kalau simpan RM500 sebulan, bolehla dapat RM2,500 by Jan 2015, then of course
tahun 2015 pun kena simpan juga). Hmm how I wish I am rich, duit berkepuk-kepuk
tak payah nk fikir bab saving or lepas balik jalan-jalan tak payah makan megi,
mamee sampai nk tunggu gaji
Now my mission is to cut down online
shopping (erk but I have plan for Black Friday sale - nak beli baju baju anak and perhaps baju husband
sebab ada satu hari tu tanya “tak de ke baju dewasa murah murah yg awak beli
baju US tu? – agaknya dia baca entri shopping from US website ni kot). Bab baju
dan tudung sendiri dan cukup kot tak payah beli sampai tahun depan (haha nampak
sangat shopping tapi still tak pakai, simpan dalam almari)
Destination for travelling should be around
Malaysia (Afham & Alif nak gi Sabah sebab sepupu dia dah ke sana).
Hmm..overseas destination buat masa ni belum ada rezeki melainkan menang besar
contest (cash or travelling package).
Amin)
Maybe boleh plan 2 ke 3 major travelling (makan
masa nk travel / naik kapal terbang / yang kena spend lebih sedikit), and the
rest just spend some quality time with kids - menjenguk ke water theme park, spend
a night at theme hotel, Farm in the City, learn and fun play (macam Kidz
Paradise, Kidszooona), Zoo Negara, Muzium TUDM (ni wishlist husband), JJCM ke
tempat makan yang tak pernah try and so on.

mintak halal image ye). Anyway lepas tengok gambar terus rasa inspiring nk
jugak buat camtu (bekas kuih raya kan ada? #jimatduitbekasplastik)
Moh kita menabung |
So lets plan for next year cuti cuti
